Privacy policy
Effective 20 October 2026. This policy explains how the Fakkerni Android app (package com.amrcs92.fakkerni) handles your information.
In short
- Fakkerni has no account, no servers, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
- Your reminders, medicines, dose history and settings are stored only on your phone.
- Data leaves your phone only when you make a backup, and only to the place you choose: a folder on your phone or your own Google Drive. The developer never receives it.
Information stored on your phone
The app stores the reminders you create (titles, notes, times and repeats), your medicines (names, strengths, dose times, stock) and the history of what you marked as done, taken, skipped or missed, together with your app settings. This information stays in the app's private storage on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Permissions
- Notifications, exact alarms and full-screen alarms: to ring reminders and doses on time, including over the lock screen.
- Battery optimisation exemption (optional): so phones with aggressive battery savers do not delay alarms.
- Display over other apps (optional): so the ringing screen can open while you use the phone.
- Do Not Disturb access (optional): only if you choose to let ordinary reminders ring during Do Not Disturb.
- Folder access (optional): only the folder you pick for backups, through Android's file picker.
None of these permissions is used to collect information about you.
Backups and Google Drive
Backups are optional. A backup is a file containing the data listed above. You can encrypt it with a password on your phone (AES-256); without that password nobody, including the developer, can read it.
If you choose Google Drive, the app asks for your permission through Google's sign-in and uses it only to:
- create, list, download and delete backup files in a “Fakkerni backups” folder in your own Google Drive (Google scope
drive.file: only files the app creates; it cannot see your other files); - move backups made by an earlier version from the app's hidden Drive folder into that folder (Google scope
drive.appdata: only the app's own data).
Backup files go directly from your phone to your Google account. The app does not request your name, email address, contacts or any other Google data, and it does not share data received from Google with anyone.
Google API Services: Fakkerni's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- Disconnect Google Drive at any time in the app (Settings › Backup and restore › Google Drive), or remove the app's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete backups from the app's restore list or from the “Fakkerni backups” folder in Google Drive.
- Delete everything on your phone by uninstalling the app.
Health information
Medication reminders are a convenience. Fakkerni does not give medical advice and does not change doses; it records only what you enter.
Children
Fakkerni is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
